The Goodbye Tour at Penn’s Peak Jim Thorpe PA was outstanding. Showcasing his children and mentioning how proud he is to be playng with them was a tribute to Glen Campbell the father. Glen is showing that Alzheimer’s will not stop him from doing something he loves. And he is still a great performer. Our multiple standing ‘O’s” energized Glen. His thank you’s were heartfelt: you could hear it in his voice. This is a must see!! Thank you, Glen, for the memories.

We saw the show last evening. We all cried. You were awesome. God Bless you Glenn Campbell. God is doing amazing things in your life.

  • Great Memories

One of my fondest memories as a 10 and 11 year old was palying pool with my friends while the Rhinestone Cowboy came from the jukebox! What a blessing! I am praying for you and your family.

I first saw and heard Glen in about 1967 when he opened for Bobbie Gentry at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. He stole the show. I’ve been a fan since, and I plan to see you in Ocala, FL this Spring. Keep going.

Just listened to Ghost on the Canvas album on the way home after dropping my youngest son off at the airport. WHAT AN ALBUM!! Glen, I loved it. I loved the lyrics, I loved the little touches that paid homage to your roots, to some of your old hits, to your time with the Beach Boys, and I loved how you decided to ride out the end of the album, not with your voice, but playing your guitar. I CRIED. See you in Worcester, Massachusetts, Glen! It’s the first time I will ever see you LIVE! I am so happy you are coming to central massachusetts on your tour. I want to thank you for bringing some of the greatest music of my life into my life!! God bless you, man. Cya in a couple of weeks.

I saw Glen in Aberdeen recently. I love the Ghost on the Canvas CD. I have one question relating to lens appearance on Jools Holland During the first verse of Wichita Lineman Glen waves enthusiastically (with both hands up) to someone out of shot – who was it, anyone know who was there? Its a comic moment…. but a great performance of that song – one of the best.

Have enjoyed and appreciated your songs, your range – musically, emotionally and as a performer, and your commitment to your art, for near my entire life… and you introduced me country music that I liked – and expanded my world… Thank you. I’m only sorry you are not coming to Atlanta, or we would surely be there… Our love, prayers and well-wishes are with you, always.

Just saw Glen on the Ellen Show – we are bit behind here in Oz – he is magnificent and as has been mentioned here – he has been a huge part of the soundtrack of my life too – he is one of the greatest and they don’t make too many like him anymore :D

Just watched Glen sung “Wichita Lineman” on the Ellen D show. My 84-year young mom and I both burst into tears as he ended with this new line “..and I’m doing’ fine!” Wow. I hope he’ll come to the NY metro area next year so I can see him in person one last time.

I feel wiped out about just now hearing the news about Glen Campbell. I adored him as a child and still play my old vinyls 40 yrs. later. His music touches me deeply, and I just bought this new CD. God Bless, Glen, I still have a personally signed photograph from many years ago!

A very talented man. His music through his vocals, guitar playing touches my soul. Ghost on the Canvas is deeply moving and the music will live on for generations. Thank you Glen, for giving us a part of you.

I loved listening to Glen Campbell growing up…in Brooklyn, NY! I was, and still am awestruck by his perfect pitch, his amazing resonance and phrasing and just his uniquely beautiful voice. A superior guitarist, unmatched in his talents, Glen Campbell is an artist of the highest caliber and a truly dedicated musician. I am so grateful to God for giving the world such a phenomenal singer and songwriter.

Just bought a ticket to see Glenn in L.A., CA. I haven’t seen in 10 years, but grew up with his music.

I remember seeing Glen when he wasn’t quite known. He was backing the pop singer, Ray Peterson and they introduced him as Mr. 12 String. I think he did a song.but it was in the early sixties. I’ve been amazed at his fantastic career and he has deserved all the admiration and respect over the years. He has a wonderful voice and no one can deny his guitar capabilites. Live on Glen….you’ll NOT be forgotten. Robert V.

I Watching him in Toronto, its like I knew him as a friend. I play and sing many of his songs on my Accordian for seniors. If I could, I would follow him to every stop on his tour. God Bless you Glen!

He’s a legend. I bought “Meet Glen Campbell”, after seeing him on “Later …With Jools Holland” on the BBC here in England. It’s a sensational album, so I am looking forward to “Ghost On The Canvas” greatly.

I’ll not be around for his concert, so am wondering if a DVD of one of the shows might be in the planning??? The genius that is Glen Campbell would then be on film.

Good luck with the album, the tour and with your retirement.
