Glen Campbell Recording Live – BBC Radio 2 Tonight!

Glen Campbell will be performing an exclusive live recording tonight, Wednesday, Oct 19th at 7:30PM GMT at Radio 2 In Concert at the Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House in London.

“I still love making music,” says Campbell, “And I still love performing for my fans. I’d like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin.”

This show will feature songs from his critically acclaimed final studio album ‘Ghost On The Canvas’ as well as classic hits from throughout his career.

“Besides its sweeping melody, “Ghost” offers a poignant metaphor for the star’s plight. It addresses the soul that resonates after the apparent person recedes.”- NY Daily News

The show will air on November 17, 2011 at 8:00PM GMT.

Great show by Glen, T.J. and Instant People in Killarney on 19 Nov. I’m a big fan of Glen since a young age and finally had the pleasure of seeing him perform live with such a great grouo of talented musicians. The opening set by IP was a real bonus. Despite Glen’s illness it was wonderful to see that he still at home on stage and his strong voice, guitar skills and his artistry as an interpreter of brilliant songs was so evident on the night. Listening to the BBC2 concert today brings back memories of the Killarney show. Jim Williamson, Cork, Ireland.

I have always liked Glen Campbell I saw him True Grit with John Wayne and fell in love with him then I have always loved all of his songs because the words are beautiful and haunting Witcha Lineman and Gentle on my Mind are two to name that I like but he is excellent his new album is lovely and he comes across with real meaning to his songs in every line. .

I was lucky enough to be at the BBC Radio Theatre last night. Glen and his band were simply brilliant.
HIs guitar playing was as stunning as ever and his voice seemed to get stronger as the performance went on.
I found it extremely moving to watch members of his family perform with him and the way his daughter Ashley guided him gently the couple of times he needed it was lovely. His wife Kim ended up on stage as well.
    An unforgettable night. Thanks Glen
