A Big Week for Glen Campbell: GRAMMYs and More!

Glen kicked off Grammy week last night with a special show at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. This intimate performance was just the first of many huge things coming this week.

This Saturday he’ll be presented with the GRAMMY’s highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony.

On Sunday, CBS Sunday Morning will air a special segment on Glen, his legacy, Ghost on the Canvas and the Goodbye Tour. The show airs Sunday at 9am.

Finally, this Sunday night (February 12) is the big event! The Grammy Awards will feature a huge 7+ minute tribute to Glen with performances by The Band Perry and Blake Shelton followed by a performance by Glen Campbell himself!! It’s going to be an amazing night, you won’t want to miss it!! Tune in to CBS at 8pm ET/PT for the show!

I wish he could have stopped in Boise on his way south from Lewiston…we are on the way to Texas depending on the route!

Worked with Glen and Tanya Tucker in Jackson Hole Wyoming in the 70s What a great inspiration.

Have seen all three of you concert tours to Australia ( wrong, missed the one you did with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra only because it was so porly promoted – didn’t know you were in town) and especially the last one in December 2009 with your daughters Debbie and Ashley and have immensley enjoyed everyone of them. Many thanks for the entertainment and joy you have freely given to so many people the world over. Hoipefully the kids will keep the legacy going.
I hope you have enjoyed performing as much as we have enjoyed your performances,
Best Wishes Glen to you and your family,

PLease look at the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC as a wonderful venue for your tour. Acoustics are fantastic and the people of NC would live to come to your show (please). http://www.dpacnc.com

Going to record this so I can skip everything except this part. It is a shame that his great album is still commercially ignored.
